CNA Student Program
at The Lingenfelter Center
This program is offered in Kingman, AZ and Bullhead City AZ for applicants interested in pursing a Certified Nursing Assistant license and working in a Long Term Care facility. Each program runs 8 weeks with a total of approximately 180 hours of classroom and clinical instruction. Weekly evaluations are completed and reviewed with each trainee to review their progress in meeting the program objectives, goals and learning the required resident care skills. 75% or better on daily quizzes and the final exam is required and an 80% or better on skills testing. Upon successful completion of the program, an Arizona State elevator will test each trainee on clinical skills and a written test is required. Notification of the written test results is sent to the trainee via email from D&S Testing. While awaiting the state test results, the trainee is able to work with a mentor on their assigned unit. This mentorship program pairs you up with an experienced CNA to make a smooth transition from "trainee" to CNA.
The CNA Training Program is conducted Monday through Thursday, to include some Fridays. Hours will vary. Upon certification, you will move into the CNA position being held for you. All CNA's within the facilities are required to the work one of the following: day/evening shift rotation, day/night shift rotation, straight evenings or straight nights. Every other weekend and holiday rotation is also required. Please indicate on your application which shifts you are available to work.
